How does an interview become an assessment?
Each step feeds the next, so the notes you send the client come from the questions you asked and the answers you rated.

What does Spectacled do with an interview recording?
It transcribes the call with each speaker separated, measures how the conversation went and suggests ratings for you to confirm.

Can clients and candidates book time with you directly?
Yes. Share a booking link, and each booking creates the record it belongs to.
- A client booking creates the company, the contact and a deal, and logs the discovery call
- A candidate booking creates or updates the candidate, attaches their résumé and can add them to a job
- Interview links let a candidate pick a slot; confirming creates the interview
- Invitees reschedule or cancel themselves, and reminders go out before every call
Interview and scheduling questions
Where do the interview questions come from?
Spectacled writes them from the job's must-haves and what the résumé doesn't prove, skipping skills the résumé already shows with specifics. Or use your own interview templates. You choose one to five questions per section; two fit a 30-minute screen. Suggested questions never touch protected characteristics or frame a gap in employment as suspicious.
Can I paste a transcript instead of uploading a recording?
Yes. Paste the transcript on the Recording and transcript tab and analyse it, or upload an audio or video file of up to 2 GB to have it transcribed with each speaker separated.
How are EQ traits rated?
You pick the traits that matter for the role, such as communication, problem solving or ownership, and rate each one Untrained, Familiar, Experienced or Master. An analysed transcript can suggest ratings, marked as AI, which you confirm or change.
Who makes the hiring call?
Your recruiter. Spectacled suggests questions, ratings and a recommendation; the person who ran the interview decides what goes to the client.
Which calendars and video tools does scheduling work with?
Google Calendar: with it connected, your busy times are hidden from booking pages and each booking goes on your calendar with a Google Meet link. For Zoom, a phone call or an in-person meeting, you enter the link, number or address. Outlook users get a calendar file and an "Add to Outlook" link.
Do I still need a separate scheduling tool?
Most agencies don't. Booking links cover working hours, buffers, minimum notice, a daily limit, date overrides, your own questions, reminders, and rescheduling or cancelling by the invitee. Unlike a standalone tool, each booking also creates the client, deal or candidate in Spectacled.
Are interviews and booking links in every plan?
