What happens when you open a LinkedIn profile?
The panel reads the profile, grades it against your job and checks your database, before you decide to reach out.
- ReadThe panel reads the profile you have open. Use LinkedIn's Save to PDF and the résumé is parsed and attached as well.
- GradedAgainst the open job or role template you pick: a grade, one line on why, and each must-have marked where it was found.

Who on your team already knows this person?
The first thing under the name. If a teammate is working the candidate, the panel says who, before you write a word.
- When they were last contacted, and how
- Their pipeline stage on each job, their lists and how many notes your team has written
- Every sequence they've been in, with its status and who enrolled them
- A warning before you enroll someone a teammate is already sourcing for the same role
- A plain "New to Spectacled" when nobody here has contacted them yet
What else can you do from the panel?
Everything a sourcer needs between finding a profile and sending the first email, without switching tabs.
- Boolean search strings Title-led, skills-led and broad-net strings written from the job, ready to copy into LinkedIn search.
- Also fits The profile is scored against your other open jobs too, and the best two graded A or B are listed.
- Email and phone lookup Personal email, work email and phone, with your team's monthly lookups counted in the panel.
- Résumé capture Click Save to PDF on LinkedIn. The PDF is parsed, checked against the profile's name and attached when you save.

LinkedIn extension questions
Does the extension work on LinkedIn Recruiter?
Yes. It works on standard LinkedIn profiles and on profile pages in LinkedIn Recruiter, in Chrome's side panel.
How does it grade a profile?
With the same grader as the Spectacled app: a grade from A to D, one line on why, and each must-have and required skill marked where it was found or "not on profile: ask". The number and how it was made sit behind "How this was scored".
How do I add a LinkedIn profile to my ATS?
Open the profile, pick the job and save them from the panel: enroll them in a sequence once you have their email, or save them without one from the menu. Use LinkedIn's Save to PDF first and the résumé is parsed and attached too.
Does it run LinkedIn searches or send LinkedIn messages?
No. It writes Boolean strings for you to paste into LinkedIn search and reads the profile you have open. Emails go from your connected inbox, not through LinkedIn.
Can it find a candidate's email?
Yes. Find email looks up a personal email, work email and phone number. Each lookup counts against your team's monthly allowance, which the panel shows. You can also have it look up the email whenever a profile opens.
How do I sign in?
With your Spectacled account. The panel opens the app's sign-in, so passkeys, email codes and Google sign-in all work.
Which plan includes the extension?
The Chrome extension comes with the Agency plan. Our team installs it for your recruiters and connects it to your account during setup, alongside your migration and training. Every other feature is in the web app on every plan, including the free Starter plan.
