Bullhorn runs two kinds of backup and lets admins export list views to CSV. Only the final, or full, backup includes every résumé and file.
| Option | Cost | What's in it |
|---|---|---|
| Standard backup | Free, once a month | All records and notes. Attachments such as résumés only if they were added since the first day of the previous month. |
| Final (full) backup | Offered when your contract ends; for a fee while you're under contract | All records and notes, plus every attachment in its original format. |
| CSV export | Included; admins only by default | Records from a list view, 5,000 to 20,000 at a time depending on the record type. |
| API | Front Office Growth or Enterprise editions | Programmatic access to your records. |
- One backup of any kind every 30 days.
- At least two of your Account or Support contacts sign each request.
- It arrives as a Microsoft SQL Server backup on Bullhorn's secure FTP server; restoring it needs SQL Server 2022 or newer.
- Bullhorn says it "may not retain your data past 60 days of your contract ending."
Bullhorn support can help you reach the backup but "cannot help map restored data", so agree who maps it before you give notice. On the Agency plan, that's our team.
What should you agree before you give notice?
Settle the move in writing first, so notice day is a formality.
